This is my work!

Drawing my own Tic,Tac,Toe!

Description: This week the internet was down so I thought with my friend Serena and she said we could make our own story wheel so we did!!:) I had to draw a circle then do seven lines going to diagonal but only seven lines because theres always one more space when you do lines! Here it is!

My own story wheel: I read this book/ play and I did it with Serena and my other friend Grace and the story is a bird election and all of our native birds want to be president so they all fight but there are helicopters and trucks coming so in the end they all work together!!!

WOW!

Description: WOW started in Nelson 1987 where they started to make wearable arts in 2004 they announced that they were moving to Wellington to make more money. They started to have light, performers (Dancers,) and someone who introduced each category. I hope you enjoy graces and I's video!

Big Idea: We had to video or write a summary about WOW with
When, Why, What and How. This is our video!

Feedback/Feedforward: You have done a cool movie explaining the world of wearables art. You have explain when the wearable arts started. In your summary you could maybe tell me who started the wearable arts and how they did it. Georgia :)

Evaluation: I think I did well with my movie but next time I think I should  go some were thats not windy or cut out the background noise.

My video:

Big idea:
To get to the stage of making the video we had to practice a song could, Te ringa te roto.
For our video we chose five body parts witch were your, Legs, hip, fingers, nose and stomach!

Feedback/forward: I think you did a good job on using good pronuciation and pointing to the body parts clearly. Next time you could use louder voices. -Zara

Evaluation: I think I did well with my video and we did well with music but I think we could speak up a bit so that even though you can here me if we speak up you could here me even more and more clear!

maths portfolio sample

Description: In maths we are learning to times multiply and divide. In our last work shop we did the box method. I like the box method but it doesn't suite me as a learner, but I might work with it sometimes.

big idea/task:
We are off to production in Week 10 and we need to get to the Regent to do this.
  • We have ordered 6 buses. There are 330 kids at Russell Street School that need to go. How many kids need to go on each bus?

  • If tickets cost $16 and I need to buy 12 for my family, how much does it cost me?

image:

Feedback/feedforward:Good job Katie I like how you wrote about the box method. But next time you should do nothing different to what you have already done. Because you have done exactly what you were asked to do.
Olivia Furness:)

Evaluation: I think I did well with my maths. At first I was wondering what to do but now I under stand a lot and all of the strategy's that I have learned helps me with learning.
